Coby Zobell was born in Raymond, Alberta, Canada, where he spent a lot of time with and had many fond memories of working on his grandparents farm there as well as his family’s farm near Cedar City, Utah. He attended Cedar High.
Coby is married to Kaylene, whom he met when he was servicing her car. Together they have six children; three girls and three boys. The family loves to play at the park, be in the mountains, swimming and vacationing together.
Before becoming a funeral director, Coby was introduced to the business by working at night answering calls for the mortuary. That opportunity quickly turned into a chance to go to school, where he graduated in mortuary science and began full-time work here at Southern Utah Mortuary. He feels fortunate that his career took the path it did, realizing that it was something he had desired to do all along and found it the “perfect” fit, because he loves serving people.
In addition to being active in his LDS faith (having served a full-time mission in California), Coby enjoys spending time with his family, building and tinkering with anything mechanic, and continue to save random pennies for his dream car – a 1967 Shelby Cobra.
